Mark picked a good game to miss. Not as miserable weather as Cowdenbeath but for those not under cover it may well have felt like it.

The weather and probably the worst pitch in Scottish football meant it was never going to be a spectacle.

I wondered what Stubbsy would do with the defence, I thought given David Gray was on the bench last week he might have kept him there to avoid that pitch, however moving Keith Watson into the middle allowed David in at right back.

Oxley – Not his biggest fan but felt he did fine today. A couple of good punches when there was a danger if he tried to catch the ball he would have dropped it due to conditions.

Gray – Did ok but not as good going forward as normal.

Stevenson – Same as Gray and a lot of other Hibs players, did nothing wrong but not outstanding either.

Watson and Hanlon – thought they were never troubled and snuffed out the Alloa strikeforce.

McGeouch – Probably the pick of the midfield, always looking for the ball and looking positive.

Robertson and Fyvie – Both industrious and broke up the Alloa possession very well.

Allan – Neat free kick to get the winner but not one of his best games, again conditions and weather not to his liking.

Malonga – Poorest Hibs player on view IMO, Alloa definitely not his favourite place.

Djedje – Better than Malonga but not great.

Subs – Cummings, on for Malonga and tried hard without getting much reward. I would have had him on earlier.

Boyle – on for Djedje and was ok, missed a glorious chance to put us on easy street.

Craig – only got a couple of minutes.

The big plus for me was we got three points whilst Rangers, Falkirk and QOTS only got one each.

Ref was ok as was the Hibs support, very hard to create an atmosphere in those conditions.

My Man of the Match was Dylan McGeouch

Been there three times this season and had enough of Alloa, should we fail to go up then I hope they get relegated.
